Hallway Printer Setup Directions - Hayden Hall


Windows

  1. Download the Printer Driver from HP's website: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-pro-m452-series/7326532/model/7326535
  2. Navigate to Printers & scanners in settings
  3. Click on “Add a printer or scanner”
  4. Click on “The printer that I wasn’t isn’t listed” once it appears 
  5. Add Printer popup will appear
  6. Click on “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname" and click next, and fill in the information
    1. Device Type: Autodetect
    2. Hostname or IP Address: ees-rm258a-hp.sas.upenn.edu
    3. Port Name:  EES RM 258A HP
    4. Query the printer should be checked
  7. Click Next and enter admin info if prompted
  8. Use recommended driver, or navigate to the driver installed in step 1
  9. Complete install and name the printer "Hayden Hall Printer"


MacOS

  1. Download the Printer Driver from HP's website: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-pro-m452-series/7326532/model/7326535
  2. Open System Preferences and click on Printers & Scanners
  3. Click on the + to add a new printer
  4. Click on IP and fill in the information:
    1. Address: ees-rm258a-hp.sas.upenn.edu
    2. Protocol: Line Printer Daemon - LPD
  5. The Name, Location, and Use (driver) should autofill.
  6. Click Add


Note:  If you are connected wirelessly, you must be on AirPennNet, not AirPennNet-Guest.
